Had what i would call my first bad day at work since starting in this game.
Its my one BIG corprate job,
Stuck in traffic Jam on the way.
Locked my keys in the car on arival.
Broke adjusting nut on hedge sheers.
Broke lower half of the mowers handle on one side just above the bracket it bolts to, no warning just snap!
Mowed 1 and a half 1000 2M lawns at half pace with the mower handle tied on with occy straps.
    AAARRRRGGGGGGG!

Overtightening the fuel cap and having it break on the first job of the day. It's a family trait.

Having a carpet snake poke it's head out of the stairs as I arrived home tonight.

Not much you can do to be honest... unless you want to confront them via phone, email or mail and hope they change it.

Your other alternative is to spend the big bucks in a court battle if you have a strong case... (don't reccommend)

    - You may be able to argue that they are engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct, which is prohibited, by displaying themselves in a way that is overall very similar to your own business - if confusion is occurring from your clients.

    - If you have built a reputation in your business, such as it's generally recognised as being uniquely yours etc you may have grounds to consider action against them for copying.

    - If they have paraphrased your text this may be a copyright infringement. This generally occurs when they use a susbtantial part of your work - it doesn't actually have to be exact to actually be infringement.

    - Are they branding themselves with the same or similar name? If so, have you registered your brand as a trademark? If so, there may be trademark infringement occurring.

Personally, I would take it as a complement that they are copying you... So what actions can you take now???

The lesson that I would be taking from this is... It has happened and it will continue to happen again in the future... you will need to constantly develop, expand, diversify and adapt your business model (including website). Although, this may be tough on the internet as there is a lot of competition out there who can be incredibly unoriginal and wll continue to copy your text.

So Maybe it's time for you to get into more development, become innovative in your business so they can try and keep up with you. Show them who's boss!

i was going to make a few suggestions but then i reread your post and realized you wanted legal options
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

don't let people get you down, i always try to remember you can't judge people by appearances i used to work in a supermarket and we had kids from some of australias richest families working for us always made me smile to think that the kid carrying out the groceries for the snob or serving them on the register was from a family who could buy and sell them. funny thing was the poorer people and the really rich ones were the nice ones it was the ones with a bit of money that seemed to have inflated views of their own worth

I have a chuckle at people like that. Remember....if you don't have a $45,000 dual cab 4WD and a $10,000 that's $55,000 (plus interest) you don't have to earn before you start making a profit....
