the problem has been that it will turn off but then windows won't restart, i turn it on and off 3-4 times then found the best way/ only way to get it working again is to let it run out of power then plug it in and windows will start again with the message that it didn't turn off properly, note pulling the battery out also doesn't fix the problem
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Time to back-up your data and re-install windows maybe.

This one could have been a result of not enough scotch.

Changing oil on the small ztr whilst still on the trailer. Filling the oil and dip the stick it only to realise there is bugger all oil in it. Look at back under the mower to see it pouring out

Does it behave the same on battery power as it does plugged in. If it boots ok unplugged you might have cooked either the processor or ram. Its a long shot but this is simular to what happened to a toshiba of mine.

windows doesn't shut down properly when i just close the lid it seems to be ok if i actually go to shut down then it has restarted properly when i turn it back on otherwise if i allow the battery to run flat then it turns off and will start ok once i plug in or recharge battery not really that worried about it just find it a bit annoying i may eventually work out whats wrong or buy a new laptop

Ha Ha Ha .......... Done that on the truck a couple of times over the years. What a bugger cleaning up the mess. Usually notice when getting the 2nd gallon of engine oil - bit of a puddle underneath !!
Always seems like people want to phone you or talk to you when you're halfway through a service/repair and your hands are covered in muck. By the 3rd consecutive interruption you've got no idea what you were doing in the first place.
    :
    "Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
If someone says "Can't" , take the "T" off the end and brew it.
Sip on a mugfull, relax, and take a look at what you've got left to work with.

    Little council Hitlers
Was at my truck washing gig this morning, industrial estate and I'm the only person in the area.I have a system where I bring the trucks out one gate and park them up next to the gate at the wash bay(a dead end street) then when they are finished I park them back in the yard.Just finished bringing the last one out when little Hitler drives around the corner, pulls up next to me and asks "are these your truck" yes mate I reply."I'm going to chalk mark them, only one hour parking for trucks this size" Me:expletive expletive. Its a pharkin industrial estate mate.He wasn't moved.

Why is it so hard to make a crust these days without being interfered with by every tom dick and pharkwit

Surely these dicks have better things to be doing with our rates money.

i know for a fact that at least once a week i'm threatened by a fine of some description. I'm convinced it's how they control society by taking away part of your freedom - they target the roads, property and businesses.

I don't let it get to me anymore... i instead feel PITY for the people that do this for a living, as they have decided to live in a world of pure negativity and probably enjoy to see others struggle.

Chin up! and just focus on the positives mate.

    Simmo.

Doesn't get to me Simmo but it's an annoying waste of rate payers money having him driving around a deserted industrial estate on a Sunday trying to justify his position.
