Hi Fred, I've just got half the capacity of what you have. 5000 ltr. but we've both got exactly the same amount of water.

we don't care as long as it's wet we'll take it ,we've only had 3.8mm this year and 44.4 since the start of december last year we had over 130mm in the same period
looking at the 3rd driest Jan since records started at Scoresby in 1948 and that's if we get some rain tomorrow
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
400mm here last Friday to Monday. A lot of places had nearly triple that. Nearly 1100mm at Springbrook in the Gold Coast Hinterland. A blessing and a curse at the same time.
just looked at the records and we've had more than 1100mm twice 1952 and 1970 note that's annual rainfall for those years

I pumped 6000 gallons up into one of my tanks on the weekend and it's all leaked out now. The base had been cemented before but looks like it's too far gone now.
My tank looks like a colinder after good rain. It only fills the dogs water bowl anyway

My rideon broke the main deck belt yesterday. I foolishly believed that the mower shop that sold it to me would have spare belts......I mean rideons breaking belts is up there with death and taxes in the certainty stakes.....but no. They suggested the local bearing shop, they didn't have one either....the nearest one was in Melbourne......$55 plus $15 for an airbag, so I ordered two. Should be here about 10.00am today
Was that on the Ariens Blacktop?
I've never broken a belt on my Gravely. I replaced the deck belts @ 450hrs but they are still plenty good enough for spares. The machine has ~ 700 hrs now and deck belts are still good. Looking like I will have to replace the pulley sheaves before the belts.
The hydro belt is still original.
Yes mate, on the Ariens.....went in to pick up the belts today and guess what......they'd been sent to Brisbane to a completely different company.....surprise, surprise. Ended up getting a generic belt without the kevlar strips for $20 which works fine but won't last. Incidentally I priced an original from the dealer.....$105, the kevlar reinforced ones I've ordered are $55 each. This will not happen again....I have spares....lol.
I'm thinking it picked up a stick or something.....shouldn't have broken at 125 hours I wouldn't have thought......has done some pretty hard work though.
This makes me grumpy a good customer told me today how another scumbag contractor knocked on his door last week and asked if he had his lawn cut, the customer said yes and this peanut told my customer he would beat what he is paying by 5 bucks. This is a great idea if you are a new guy and want a punch in the head. The client told me this guys business name so if I see him I will front him, I didn't think this sort of thing happened around here .
