Hey Fred i was down your way a week ago crossed the rail line at Wellington rd Huntingdale and could not believe how green it was from there all the way down to Sandy then along beach road to Mentone then though Mordy and the back way to eastlink out here it's just either brown crunchy dead grass or bare dirt
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
Having a possum get behind the heater and kark it!
Took a while to work out where it was ... Some supposedly "professional installer" had just knocked the back out of the fireplace to install the heater --- leaving it all exposed to the wall cavity (& a possum which managed to get into roof).
Would have thought a "good" installer would have blocked it off.
Confirms my feeling that many times if you want it done properly .. Do it yourself (or closely supervise)!
Joe
atleast you havnt used the heater yet. it could be worse. much worse

After the 2011 floods there was a rodent plague. Unfortunatly It became my job to locate and remove all the mice tbat died hugging the motors of fridges, watercoolers and other ' interesting' spots after a dinner of tasty blue pellets at my old job. It wasnt the best task.it was rather tragic how excited I got when a critter died out in the open

Sent Coles Express some detailed, honest, constructive feedback re there Tax Invoices tonight.
They are totally fading out with dockets that are 2,3,4 months old. Did me BAS today and noticed the problem and have been copying the dockets tonight on maximum darkness intensity setting to recover minute evidence that it is a fuel docket. Still copying dockets for the ute and mower/garden fuel as we type.
Told Coles Express that none of my docket lay under fluorescent lighting or sit in intense heat.
That it is crapp and a pain that one should have to do this in such a short period of time to satisfy the ATO and Book Keeping. Other fuel stations in town don't have the problem to this degree, so what has changed, docket supplier??, registers???. Or is the solution to purchase fuel elsewhere if there the same price, which they are.
Better log off and complete the photocoping..
Cheers Garry
I gave up on Coles express, because you go in to pay, and you get asked do you want a chockie bar, a drink, or fries with that. NO I just want to pay.
Haha. My local Caltex got me like that tonight. Go in to pay for fuel, feeling a bit peckish and grabbed a Crunchie. "Oh they're 2 for $4" he says in his best Vindaloo accent. I caved...
I always feel so sorry for the staff there when they ask would like this, that or maybe this. As if there detected not doing it on repeated occassions they will get counselled in writting. Be it from supervision checks or mystery shopper. I'm always very polite and so are they.
Being a ex snr coles supermarket store mgr for 27yrs in my 33 yrs with them, me knows/understands what goes on.
Cheers Garry
Footnote;
I don't run an account with any supplier ie coles shell card. If I need something to run the business, then it's payed for there and then. That's why I file individual faded fuel invoices.
Cheers Garry
Funny you mention that. Same happened at this particular Caltex about a month ago. They only wanted a monthly visit though. Didn't get it though as using an SP mower I think my price was a bit higher then the guy currently doing it with a ride-on.
