Then you hear about someone who sells a run for 50 or 60 grand with next to no good equipment...
    ....Nothing like a good whipper....

Heres my grumpy tale for the day. Kids have a pupil free day today, so I thought I would knock off early take em to the skate park then across the road for a swim. Bad idea as it turns out , I had a skate but didn't have my regular shoes on which made me fall on a ramp, straight onto my elbow ouch. Got home in a fair bit of pain had a shower and then realised how bad it was, I couldn't touch my face or take my shirt off it was really swollen, I knew it was more then a bruise, so off we go to the hospital. Yep no bad break but I have cracked a bone no plaster yet but have to go to the fracture clinic in a few days when the swelling goes down so the can suss it out.Yipee now Im stuffed the pain even with the tablets they gave me is unbearable, I don't know how long I will be out for but at the moment I couldn't even drive the ute. Wear your pads boys, Anyone want to buy a mowing run

Why the hell is a guy of your age trying to ride a skatey? I wish it was on video! haa Sorry mate, thats gotta suck. You'll be out of action for a while I guess!
I broke my wrist and fractured a few vert back in the day. Took a couple days off and got back to work. A teaspoon (maybe a tablespoon in your case) of cement might help! haa Jokin!
Check the kids phones for that vid, you could be the next sensation! Or get into one of those Fail vids on YT!

Ok, ok, Ill stop now! You poor bugger......

Were moving a few hours north onto a bit of acreage. I will finally have my pony. Should be moving at the end of the month. This town has a aging lawnie population. Most don't want more work as they're close to retirement. It's a shame to just walk away but that looks like what I'll be doing. It's a shame as I've had so many big opportunity s this month that I've turned down.
Dunno if I'll start back up again. Have to do a bit of research and test the waters first.
I'll miss the freedom of running my own business

What pain killers have they put you on?
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Stones / rocks / more bloody rocks. Urgent job for Real Estate. mow 1 acre block has been left for 5 weeks and owner wants it mowed for new tennant. Flat, plenty of trees, but bloody rocks everywhere. Kubota F 2880 was struggling with the length of the grass. Real estate had said - nice and flat - just whip in and mow it urgent.

Work is work and at the rate the grass is growing, guess I could be back there within a fortnight - at least I know where the rocks are!!!!!!!

I had the same problem. no takers from ads in the paper etc. Finally sold the best ones to another lawnie at a discount.. trouble is in a small town the established guys think they'll pick up your jobs when you leave anyway. Ring your competitors though, you never know. And there are lots of semi-retired blokes out there who would do it if it didn't cost too mjuch and they didn't have to do the marketing.

And Mick I wasn't trying to ride a skateboard I was tearing the place apart, it was my shoes, that's my story and Im sticking to it, nothing to do with age or lack of ability, and all evidence has been destroyed, I think I will hang up the skateboard though, this is going to cost me thousands

Jeez he'd have plenty of work around here if he could get rid of crickets. The buggers are goin mad in the long grass...especially the black pricks. Do they damage lawns by the way?
