Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
bloody briggs engines make me grumpy - my ride-on has just blown another head gasket, 3rd one in 2 years, seriously pissed off. Just rang my local bloke who tells me he's no longer doing that type of work anymore. Couldn't have happened on a worse day really, am going back to finish a lawn then start removing the engine - I have an almost new engine which is the smaller 13hp, they don't seem to have the reliability issues the 16hp does

Being told, at 40 years of age, I will soon need a hip replacement. I'm a bit of a mess right now thinking about my future. As if the Crohn's disease wasn't hard enough to live (and work) with FFS....
Sry to hear that Paul, have worked with quite a few brickies in their 60's and 70's that have had 2-3 hip replacements done. They still went hard regardless. Might relieve you of any pain.
You have big wheels keep em turning bud!
Cheers.

Hi Red, that's why I have a 13hp Honda on my Cox, no problems in 1550hrs bar me over filling it which made it smoke for days after I discovered what I had done. What about Nowra 4WD up in Flinders road, they are the new John Deere agents maybe they could do for you.
That's no good Paul, but having talked to a few people who have had their hips replaced they are better for it after it was done, no more pain. Hope all goes well for you.
its on now, prick of a job but it started up straight away and running at 3400rpm - forgot to run the belt over the idler wheel so will fix that sometime tomorrow (maybe)

haven't had a good day, one of my oldest friends and neighbour, died today. Had a massive haemorrhage and died almost instantly ( the one blessing) he was being treated for throat cancer. His wife has just got over treatment for breast cancer and they have a 10 yr old son. Due to the crazy laws re death at home, he was still lying on the kitchen floor at 6pm, he died around midday, because the police can't find a doctor to sign a death certificate. He was 52

Mate that sucks. How is his wife and son? Thats a silly question,, must be gut wrenching having him still there like that. Hope the wife doesnt have a relapse she needs to be there for the son..
Glad you got the ride on fixed.. Is neil back yet?
it just re-affirms my atheism (a former catholic, choir singing alter boy) of 35 years
I think they're due back any day; having tomorrow off mate?

The same here for me mate. Only just starting to go back to church a bit since the boys were born. Losing my younger brother, grandmother and mother in a relatively quick succession of years took a toll here.
Best thing you can do is just lend an ear for the wife of the deceased and be a role model for the young bloke. Had to move home and finish putting my youngest brother through high school here after Mum died.
Sad to hear news like yours when children are involved.
