What made it worse was that it was in an apartment complex with 20 apartments. How do you tell them all what you have done?

Lucky I had some joiners and glue in the trailer , but glue takes 24 hours to set
    What does everyone else use?
Yer, that's why ya gotta love poly.
I think solvent cement will set quicker than 24hrs but thays their reco to cover themselves.
If its after the valve & it only leaks alittle, it usually does'nt matter that much as thats the area you're watering anyway.
    Cheers Fred.

Had a blonde moment yesterday when I finished up doing a local school. Was in a hurry to get home and shower and watch the Wallabies get smacked again ( another reason to be grumpy ). Blew down the ride on, put the blower down between the ute and trailer, put the ride on away, jumped in the ute and backed over the blower. F#%@. Broke the starter cord housing where it clips on to the fuel tank and warped the pipe ( not sure of name ) where the air comes out. Have to try and repair tomorrow cause I'm sure buying the Honda part will cost an arm and a leg. Feeling stupid.

So easy to do, mistakes happen, years ago i did a similar thing and ran over my big fat ginger cat who was sleeping on the wheel arch, bummer, however I feel for you, sometimes distractions are the cause of major incidents, lucky for you, i reckon the blower can be fixed tho.

Ok, just to make you feel better i've, ran over my pole pruner, ran over the blower, fixing my mower and left the starter on the ground, ran over that, when i repaired the pole pruner left it in the trailer leaning against the side and took out the roller door, took out the side of the roller backing the trailer in, took out my neighbours car (suzuki swift) didn't see it, toolboxes obscured it

I think I remember that. Didn't you take out a rose garden at the same time? Only takes a moment of not paying attention or trying to finish quickly to really stuff up. On Friday I secured the mower on a sloping driveway to go grab some bags only to see the mower shoot past me. Just stopped it in time before it hit a brand new garage door on a house that had just sold that afternoon. Thank god the buyer left about 5 minutes before.

Starting to sound like an episode of The Benny Hill Show in here, just without the girls in bikinis!

I've done a few of these things too...

Well where do I start? I have so much on at the moment that I dont know how I'm going to get it all done. Took on 3 big clean up and gardening jobs thinking I would have time to do them. All of a sudden the grass takes off, so lots of mowing jobs to do. Have about 20 mtrs of mulch to lay, another customer waiting for a carparking area to have road base laid, another waiting for 2 blocks of land to be mow/slashed, a new customer waiting for their aprox 1 and 1/2 acre lawn to be mowed and typical ....all the casual customers ringing for their overgrown places to be mowed.

The 60" z turn has now been in the shop for 3 months 2 weeks dont seem to be able to get an answer from the mechanic or the suppliers as to when the part I'm waiting for to repair it will be in, chainsaw wont start which I need for tomorrow to take down 6 trees and to top things off I crush my finger this morning getting a big ass wheelbarrow off the top of the greenwaste in my trailer. Fell about 3 feet getting my finger between the barrow and the wheel arch of the trailer.

Only funny side to all this is when my daughter saw it this evening and said where is the rest of your finger? I told her it is under the mower. I thought she was going to pass out. Ha Ha.

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrgh. I want my ztr back , Damn it!!!!!!!!!!

Loan you an old 48inch Ferris if you really want it. Just don't cut low and bumpy stuff or it will take you 20mins to put the belt back on. It goes ok and has not let me down yet (until the starter motor goes which sounds like soon)
Your choice though - or you could just wait a little longer!

Sounds like time to get an offsider if you don't already have one Glenno. Workwise you sound like me at the moment (without the equipment dramas as a I don't have a ZTR) except I'm only operating at 50% capacity due to my health but I feel run off my feet just like you.

Here's something that makes me more than grumpy; pissed off actually. I put a call out on here for someone to take on a client at the Sunshine Coast recently. No takers so I found someone in the LMD. Contacted them and told them about my client up there and asked would they want to take on the work - mowing, gardening, returfing, new plants, garden makeover and ongoing maintenance etc - yeah no worries, love to.

Gave their details to my client and she contacted them and made an appointment for a quote. Sadly they were a no-show and now the client is just going to ring Jims. Thousands of dollars work gone begging...

If people aren't prepared to follow through why the hell say yes in the first place?
