Hate the nosey neighbour. Who gives these clowns the right to dictate what height you trim a shrub in someone else's yard. This old fella kept at it like an annoying jack Russell until I unloaded telling him to back the f#kc off. Bet I'm talk of the street now.

    Yep,

I have a very photographic type luxury home that requires a full garden service fortnightly and three times a year an extended service. The home is in a street with many quality homes.
Every fourth visit a sticky nose neighbour will come and give instructions on behalf of the street. My reaction is sharp in tone and I always say, Have you spoken to the owner, they say "No", so speak to them as you don't pay me.
The owner is pissed to the max with the nosey folks, as he has a house/garden that is manicured to perfection and would sit comfortably on the front page of "Better Homes & Gardens".

Plus this Platinum Client has the same bank as me and payment comes through within an hour of my invoice being e-mailed every time.

Have actually used this home for photographic business pictures with my vehicle/rig in the background seen through the greenery.
    Cheers Garry

You cant raise prices as a group. its aginst consumer law, somethink like that, like 2 main airlines trying to control the airspace

There's two I do for less, $30 for my old kindergarten teacher, $20 for a nature strip I do next door to a regulars place that takes all of 10 minutes.

It's not worth your time or fuel for any less, might as well get a job at McSticks for $20+ per hour.

As a group we need to raise prices.

I very rarely quote less than other contractors.

    An example:

Realestate agent called : I need another quote for a client on a job, check the job out, three trailer loads of crap and 1.5 days to complete it.

    12 x 50 $600
    3 x 130 $390
    total $990

How much did the other guy quote?

    $600

Give him a call and go right ahead.

Hate it when you go to a clearing sale then you come home and think, "would one more bid have won it?"

Yeah but sometimes that one more bid ends up costing you a lot more than you had budgeted for

Possibly, but I was bidding on a ute for work and I'm really kicking myself now.

bugger! I feel your pain. Do you currently have a ute? I now have a ford falcon ute after wearing out 2 work utes in a short time from towing heavy loads. They were both 4 cylinder petrols, problem solved but now my fuel bill is more.

I have a 1996 dual cab Hilux 2.8diesel 4WD but it's been off the road now for over three years as I won't pay what workshops want to rebuild the engine top to bottom. $$$$$$$ . Working on it myself very slowly. Been using one of our family cars (AU sedan coincidentally) but getting sick of trying to fit everything into the boot and putting gear on top of the greenwaste in the trailer. I really should have bid another one or two hundred as I think I would have got it.

Have been looking at a Series2 AU Tradesman ute here also. Seller is down to $2850 but no rego, no RWC. I really need something that has a full bench seat though so I can get my boys to and from school.

Actually Paul you where lucky you did not buy it because if you where going to tow with all the time, you would stuff the gearbox. That model does not like towing in 5th gear after a while the gearbox sh##s it self

I don't use 5th gear for towing at all in my manual bt50.. I have heard it is the weakest gear and will possibly break if towing heavy loads in 5th
