I was doing a roadside drain yesterday. 450m long. Doing the steeper parts with the SP, finished one side and coming back on the inside, the SP stopped driving about 200m from the vehicle. I thought if I walk back and grab a phillips head screwdriver, sure as eggs I'll need more tools, so I pushed the heavy mongrel back to the vehicle through the long uncut grass.
Sure enough, 2 screws and 2 minutes later, relocated the cable end and I'm mobile again.

Worst part was 2 other lawnies drove past as I was pushing, gawking and laughing at me.

Paying $10 for a scotch and dry at the Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe concert at the Palace in Melbourne.......ouch. The drinks were served in a tiny plastic cup that more resembled a shot glass......double whammy!!!

Pulled a hamstring in the surf yesterday, thought I had torn it, back of leg bruised. Raining and onshore today so we hit the indoor skate park , slipped over on the halfpipe and my thigh smashed the coping ouch, all this on the same leg, which is the side of my bad hip. Don't know how many I will get done tomorrow

Paying $8 for a Lamb-burger at a Food Festival yesterday and all it was was the bread-roll, lamb-pattie and a piece of iceberg lettuce. Not even any sauce on the table....

    Digging forks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three bent and twisted now in the last twelve months. Two "heavy duty" green Cyclone ones and now a stainless steel $60 Spear & Jackson one with the full width step over the tines. Ground doesn't seem to heavy. Seems more like everything is just made like crap these days. Just turning over soil in veggie gardens. While I'm having a rant, where can you buy good quality timber handles from these days for rakes and mattocks. The garbage at Mitre 10 and Bunnings is just that.

Agreed 100% We live in a throw away society now and it's disgusting. Nothing is made to last anymore, instead its made to break down after a certain life span

My stainless cyclone fork, bent the tines, digging over the vegie garden also.

I've only had the Spear & Jackson one about 6 weeks and probably the third or fourth time I've used it. There's a similar stainless-steel one but with a wooden handle that is advertised in the Gardening Australia mags but it's probably no better.

Had a $10 steel white shovel from bunnies and $5 fork and spade from km^rt, they have lasted two years and still going, had heavy use on many occasions still going strong.

Don't pay for the exp ones , this stuff is 100% recyclable any way being 100% steel. They just melt em down and make another!

Can anyone give general help with this?

Ordered a clutch from Sydney as the new one I had was different than what came off the mower. (Dixon dealers in Melbourne are not worth the headaches)
Got the new one, bugger me the same as the other new one I had and still the wrong part.
I went by the part numbers off the list given to me by the ztr supplier after I gave them serial number etc of the mower.
Dixon parts manager eventually came back after I took photos of old clutch, and gave me updated parts list. Apparently my mower had parts from 2006 (my model) & 2007 newer model in it.
So is the manufacturer responsible for the extra costs I have incurred with purchasing this item and return postage etc.

This is the same person/manufacturer that told me that my mower had been altered sometime before or after I purchased it, when I asked for a part which was not listed on their parts list or diagram.
Bought it shiny and new from the shop back in 2006

The short answer NO. I spent a lot of years in the motor trade before waking up to myself LOL. Some manufacturers used old model parts on new models to get rid of the old stock and they never put any sort of notification on the vehicle that it had earlier parts, so when we looked up parts for the vehicle and supplied them, then found out that they where wrong we the dealer bore the cost of freight and any other expense. Being a lawn mower I very much doubt that you have any recourse re extra costs, but you won't know if you don't try.

    Thanks David!

This Dixon mower has been good but just pitiful service from Victorian dealers and Dixon parts manager has been not much better. He at least tracked down this part number but am not sure it is correct yet
