You could always blog a crook review about the joint.

Yep, we should engaged Alan Jones and Neil Mitchell to assist in making it an illegal practice, I do a house on a double block for half a day every fortnight on a Friday morning to midday and two doors away is a trendy busy café with outdoor area. Have to fight for parking too.
But the cooking smells, oh dear the cooking smells, you can tell when the toasted sangers and hamburgers are in full swing, plus the stream of people walking past with their takeaway coffee's. Especially when ones self had to skip breakfast due to slackness towards getting out of bed on the second alarm.

I hear you loud and clear irishjim!!

    TAC

Had a call from a lady after a gardener for $32.95 an hour.
Apparently this is the approved rate for gardeners, how the hell can anyone with insurance work for that?

I told her straight that to find any gardener that is any good with insurance you'd be looking upwards of $50 an hour.

That's the most per hr that the insurance company will reimburse the customer, you can still charge your rate, just means some out of pocket for the customer.
I have many workers comp customers on the same deal.

Few months ago my wife's Toyota Yaris car was vandalised whilst parked at her work and I had to pay the insurance excess to repair it. Great, car fixed, but $650 out of pocket.

Today misses going to work at 11.30am and she is in the roundabout and a learner driver on her left proceeds straight through without giving way to his right or attempting to stop and slammmmm!!!!.(F it). Thankfully she is OK.
In the little Yaris cars when you get hit, the car bounces or flips up around a little like a cork in the sea. With no side air bags the potential for head injury due to side ways jarring is higher than other bigger or slightly heavier cars.
She has had a few prangs with all bar one not her fault and one worries at times.
So I'm seriously thinking to get her the new Corolla (manageable size)with the full air bag, safety package, as I know my wife's defensive driving skills could be better. If you ride a motor bike you know what I mean re defensive skills to avoid F'N Clowns.

There is always something going on in life, but provided no is hurt we can always be thankful.
    Cheers Garry

Gaz.. I'm glad no one was hurt.

Both my Kids are getting around on L - plates at the moment and one of my biggest concerns when I'm out with them is round a bouts. They seem to be getting built bigger and bigger and a lot of them double lanes. People fly through and around them like they think they are on a race track. I have seen the way my kids get all nervous and flustered at them and I have had to tell them to STOP suddenly . I've found while working that some of the round a bouts in my area are so busy and the traffic is moving through them so fast that if I dont pull out causing someone to slow down I would never be able to get through.

I hate the damn things and I think they should all be replaced with over and under passes. Small ones in single lane roads might be ok but the bigger ones are just outright dangerous.

l do gardening up here in mildura for $30- per/hr and l have full insurance and are
fully trade qualified gardener/horticulturist .When there is 45-50 other gardening businesses
in the same area you have to remain competitive.

Sounds like you all need to get together and agree to start pushing the prices up. Everyone ends up with a win win situation.

I hate it when you realise after the mowing that you've left the blower at the last clients place..

This is really frustrating , how can you afford to run a business and only charge $30 per hour!!!! Do you pay yourself super, put money aside for sick leave and annual leave, pay for petrol on a daily basis, pay tax, pay for all your equipment, maintain a vehicle and trailer, do book work....

For that money you may as well get a job!

    Glenn,

You are right with roundabouts, they require confidence and driving skills to know when to punch through them safely or you sit there all day waiting. it's an art to get through them without incident or road rage.
This roundabout was quite small in diameter whilst being a non busy roundabout by Melb and even country standards. He just didn't stop and drove straight in with his mum beside him.

Not meaning to put a young L Plater down as both my two daughters have been there a few yrs ago and had prangs soon after getting there P's. But in the stronger explanation used when one rides a Motor Bike, everyone around is treat as a scud missile pilot encased in a cage aimed at you. That's when you learn be a defensive driver and many don't have those skills.
    Cheers Garry

    Must agree with SM here.
the $30 per hr is probably what you should be pocketing after costs.

Went to the Toyota folks this morning after visiting the smash repairer across the road also owned by the Toyota peoples. I do lots of work for Toyota whom l'm very loyal too as they are sooo good to me.
Yep will be getting the misses a new sports pack Corolla provided the wife is happy with a test drive/sit in which I will arrange soon. She is happy with preliminary discussions and reasons. Plus their panel repair business will be doing the repairs on the Yaris as I know the team in there too.

More rain again today as with everyday, so still no work can be done due to it. But the toaster/hot coffee is nice by the heater with my Golden Retriever inside with me wanting some more toast.
    Cheers Garry

Grey Hairs will Show by this weekend me Thinks; lol

This morning my 21 yr lovely daughter backs out the driveway to go to work in a hurry just after my post before.

Our actual driveway is quite wide at the street cross over and has the pavers both sides and has a generous two car angled parking area to the side of the actual top driveway entry to the garage . On rubbish days I always put both bins either side of the driveway by a large margin.

My daughter backs out in her Getz and bowls the red bin over, check out the tyre marks.

Now one knows why I'm extra alert when riding the motorbike.
    Cheers Garry
