Seems like a very well balanced young lady in comparison to the rest of the younger generation. At least she is going to work and cares about her job enough to be in a hurry. And she is still at home at 21, although that could be a good or bad thing depending on the circumstances. If that's the biggest problem you have with your daughter at 21, you've got it made and give yourself a big pat on the back for being successful parents !!!!!!!!
That's so funny, my daughter's 17. I told her last Tuesday not to take her car to school as it was out of indicator fluid, she caught the train in to school Wednesday, and i received a pretty colourful text around midday, apparently lunchtime at school, her and a friend went to the servo to get some indicator fluid...
thats a pearler !!

Yep, doesn't drink, seriously against drugs and crime, gives her boyfriend of many years stick for not toeing the line at uni.
Will not spend dough on crap or night clubs and saves like a you won't believe - hence why she's living at home. Flying to London and Scottland in August to experience things before life becomes too serious, but should return home still to a healthy bank balance.
Hasn't gone down the silly path although has the looks of a model.
But her bedroom is an absolute bl**dy mess!!!!
Cadase, that was so funny and I can relate to it having two daughters.
I always mention to my wife if you have a prang don't be shy to take photo's of the scene if possible.
After the bingle I posted about a few posts back, when she rings me about it. I said did you take pictures, "yes I did", I will message them to you later on when I'm not so shaken.
The very close up type photos come through a few hours later and its a almost a macro shot of the other vehicles rear tail light.
I thought WTF and rang her and said was the other vehicle in reverse travelling down the road when it hit you. She said I didn't know what part of the car to photograph - seriously, so we have three close up photo's of the other cars orange and red tail lenses.
Seriously, Where's that Grecian Hair Tonic, lol
Cheers Garry
Sounds like the daughters only downfall was getting her dad to teach her to drive
We actually had a few dummy spits when I was with her in the car as she would not slow down approaching roundabouts or T's or cnr's. it was always "I know", "I know", "I know", "I know, "anger I KNOW". So the father instructor refused to take her anymore, this right from the early days and mum did it all.
Right or wrong that was it!!
4 wks after getting her license she had a partial head on turning right at 60kph turning right on a inner town road but rural type setting beside a golf course with no street lights. It was midnight and there was 25mm of rain that night and it was pouring at the time.
The other P Plater was driving straight with no lights on and wrote a letter at the accident scene apologising to my daughter for driving with no lights as he knew they were faulty. RACV, after mega protest by me said my daughter was at fault for turning right. I had the cops involved as the other driver in my opinion was driving dangerously with no lights on in dangerous wet weather conditions, plus an un roadworthy car.
I did all this communication to help my daughter 12.30am-3.00am including speaking to the police on the phone from a location 320k's away as I was with my mother was gravely ill and passed the next morning.
Never forget that experience and just happy no one was hurt in either vehicle.
Cheers Garry
Thought of this, this morning. A car salesman rang to follow up on an enquiry I made on Monday re a new ute. I'm out in a paddock with the wind howling and didn't want to talk to him & really couldn't hear him properly.
He gets onto the canvas seat covers. "Mate I've got onto some really really good seat covers for you blah blah..... they are Air Bag compliant and that's really important these days."
WTF airbag compliant seat covers? Maybe I missed a change of topic but he got the "don't call me, I'll call you" treatment after that.
So I've just come back from a weeks holiday on the Gold Coast.
Spent the whole trip crook with a really bad chesty/sinus cold and now I'm back I've still got the cold
Rolled up to the bank today with a 10k cheque after a garden makeover..good customer but her bank EFT wouldn't allow that much to be transferred. So in hand with the cheque and joined the long Que as i don't trust the quick deposit slot for that much money, waited 45 mins and after several invitations from the patrolling bank staff to use the self help ....me being stuppin wouldn't accept ...so nearly to the end of the line there is only now one teller as the other two went for a coffee break ,so after another invitation from the other bank staff to use the automotive system i said ok , as they said they would do it for me ,..well bugger me i had to que in a frigging line to use that ...one hour later i finally deposited and now have to wait three fcking days before i can get me hands on the money....WTF????????????? I hate banks and clearly their motive is for us not to use them face to face...they must get clearly peed when the dear old pensioners rock up with their beloved passbook account to get the fortnightly funds out..
Gee must have been peeved off, don't see Mr Geoff posting negative feelings or thoughts on the forum very often.
Hope the Cheque clears OK or the Grumpy Forum will EXPLODE. lol
Been looking at all model cars in the larger small car type variants over the past week. ie Mazada 3, VW Golf etc.
Went looking at a Honda car yesterday and they couldn't find a salesman to serve me straight away. There were a couple of sales guys on a open second mezzanine level looking down at me and the reception girl from there desks and just meters away who had no intentions of budging. Reception girl said no they are at lunch that's no good will have to find another person. Guess what, it will not be the Honda I get and I want an upspec model vehicle too.
Cheers Garry
