Sounds like they have got what they paid for Bluey?
I did a regular mowing job yesterday and the owner had decided to spray the bindi himself after I had mentioned it needed doing and offered my service. He used roundup and there are now dead patches all over it. His wife told him off and told him to get me to fix it lol so today I have fertilized, 1 weeks time I will spray the rest of the lawn for Clover, Bindi, Broadleaf etc. then in 2 weeks another mow and top dress and hopefully by the end of summer it will be healthy again

This didn't really affect me but makes your industry look a bit less professional. These guys are doing lawns on a secondary road with no traffic management setup, no high vis, walking in the gutter to do the edges. The other guy mowing, walking backwards leaving the grass looking like it had been cut with a rusty pair of scissors.

Does anyone here actually have traffic management plans for their sites?

Turn up to clients place yesterday to do a final tidy up before sale. I'd reseeded the lawn and loaned them a sprinkler on a timer for her. Back gate is looked, that's weird, so I jump the fence while being attacked buy a stupid friggen magpie. Get to the other side, someone has unhooked my hose and sprinkler, lawns dried out. The friggen stupid arse clown real estate agent has packed it all away without any thought as to why a newly sowed lawn should be kept moist. Luckily the stupid agent left the garage UNLOCKED and that is where I found my hose minus a fitting which meant I couldn't hook the sprinkler up again. Ring the client and she is in hospital. Next job, things can only get better. Finish mowing front line with ride on. Ride on to ramp only to discover I hadn't disengaged the blades, mow top of aluminium ramps. Next job can only get better. Run out of fuel on ride on, go to fill up and discovered Ive left the fuel cap off somewhere. No more fuel cap. Tie hanky on to top of fuel filler to keep dirt on. Live to fight another day.

Those type of Dementia days can seem more frequent at times. As long as no one gets injured, is when we can write it off and just shake the head in disbelief.

Can't work today so far with vehicle in for a 1000km service and delays with rear parking sensor beep beep issues. Work coming out ones ears with more rain last night and no vehicle till 4.00pm by the time I get it home to hook up, then get out to get one house in at least.
Even had to walk down to the post box to post me BAS - struff .
When you haven't got your vehicle its a real wake up as to how much we rely on it.
    Cheers Garry

Laying 50 metres of sleepers last week for a kindy (filling the void from ground to bottom of newly installed perimeter fence ). Get a call today, 'were they treated sleepers you put in under the fence ? we're not allowed to have any treated timber on site'
Didn't even think about that, as the sleepers were under the fence and half buried. Anyway, just waiting for the kindy manager to clarify the rules, but i'd say tomorrow i'll be changing over sleepers. We'll have to negotiate on the extra costs

    Good idea,
They were only expecting to have it for the morning, had we all know it turned out to be the full day. They would have given me the identical dual cab Hilux they use as a demo with the Toyota promo stickers on it.
Auto electricians spent the whole arvo on the vehicle installing a new rocker switch on-off for the rear parking sensors for when reversing with a trailer.
No Charge, but I work for the mega dealership as a their garden/mowing contractor for their multi varied sites and have a strong relationship with the team.
So all good as always with this great dealership and I got to do my diary schedule for the next few weeks and do my quarterly BAS.
    Cheers Garry
