That should be very easy to weld, just make sure you give it a good clean first. Makes it a bit easier for them and less likely for them to knock you back. Also, remove any plastic bits in the area as alloy transmits heat real good and probably remove that wheel as well. What did you hit to do that damage out of interest????

Even a sheath like covering riveted and wrapped around the out side would fix it, you have nothing to lose. It would be imho stronger than welding if its a nice firm tight fit. Welding might be ok on steel but alloy tends to be p1ssweak.

What caused that to happen, the base is built tough as.
Easy weld for the experienced engineering joints.
I had an alloy weld done to me boat tow eye several yrs ago and it's been magic ever since.

Must have run over something serious to rip out the deck like that.

Hope you get a good nights sleep as the Mulchmaster is one much loved machine to have.
    Cheers Garry

Sh*t I reckon I've ran over a few of them in my 4yrs.

Friday, late night shopping - least Target Nowra would have been open for replacement jocks. Bet that scared the daylights out of you upon impact.

    Mulchmaster - Unbreakable.

I hate those cheap plastic guttering down pipes that go down into the ground.
Whipper snippers cut them too easy...I avoid them as much as i can.
the plastic is thin and must decade over time in the weather

Yep, although I'm not doing too many jobs this came to my attention some time ago, so I always have a walk around and bring it to the clients attention, if you get my drift

No, they don't decay over time - they are like you said, cheap and thin. Older houses are fine, but the more modern houses, steer clear.

Caution peoples, Spring is bringing the clowns out.

Today Tuesday 3.22PM, Phone rings look at screen and a local number - Answer, " I need my Lawns booked for a Mow TODAY". I say Today, Seriously Today whilst refraining from using my John McEnroe voice.
Said your joking mate ringing at this time of the day for mow and want it today.
Reckon he certainly don't belong to any Sidchrome Tool Set.

    Cheers Garry

Went to get a new chainsaw chain yesterday, was a little further away from my usual place I go to get parts so I decided to go and try a new place which was closer. Went to said place (opposite stratco at st agnes) , in full uniform truck and all, from walking in the guy behind the counter had the worst attitude ive ever seen, pretty much didn't want to help me, no one else (customers) were in the store. To top that they charged me $42 for a chain, where as the other shop charges me $25 for exactly the same chain. I stupidly then enquired about a new mower....."their over there" was his attitude.

and they wonder why people are buying from the usa and online, whats the point in buying local if your going to get ripped off with bad service.
Pays to stick with what you know.

I may or may not have been to said place and yes I got a chain for a cheap ebay saw in under ten miuntes but payed $28 (16inch bar)
No worries. So I go there with a rooted slasher and he tries to sell me a Rover, Chinese job with a undersize Briggs on it and for a hundred more than I scored a better Masport slasher with a 675 Briggs from a different dealer. They were both last years models but one did me a deal and the other lost a customer.

If you need any Stihl gear PM me. I know of a decent dealer in the NE suburbs.

Yep. I tell clients that I will spray around them and not whipper snip anywhere near them. If they don't like it they can find someone else as I'd rather not pay the plumbing repair bill. If you're careful you can get close to them but you can never easily get in behind them.
