Yep correct technique.
Another "You Can NOT Be Serious".
Last Saturday my phone rings at 5.48pm and I don't answer it even though one of my previous elderly customer's name comes up on the screen. Haven't worked for this customer for more than a year, message left was to visit her grandsons house to do a job and when will I go there. I never responded to call at all on Monday, just waited for another call during business hrs.
Cheers Garry
Had a request via my FB page last night. She gave a description of the lawn and how long it was and wanted a quote based on this, and for the lawn to be done today. I replied that I would have to look at it first before quoting and asked for an address and phone number. No reply. It amazes me how many people expect a quote without looking at the job first. Too many variables.
this is the mongrel that took the chunk out of my mulchmaster, 2nd shot shows how it split in half when it hit the blades

Did you get it welded back up redeye?
My big cox went flat today. Any idea where to get the puncture fixed (its the rear one) or is it something I could do? Why is the right rear tyre tread wearing faster then the left rear?
Also while I am at it what trimmer head do you find works best on the makita. Was in the Husky place today and they have some nice looking bump and feed spools but they don't fit as they are for a 10mm arbour. The Makita is 8mm I think. Ive tried the speed feeds from dean, they are ok but just wondering what you use.
Ordered a 3 trimmer rack today, can't wait to set it up on the trailer. Hopefully will make life easier.
Usually the tyre wear comes from the which way you turn the most. But it also is the case of the right wheel drives more than the left. I used to carry a tyre plug kit with me for tubless tyres. Tube tyres it was easier to take to tyre repair place and wait for repair. Usually only took 15 minutes to repair.
yep, tubes are the go !!
I use the alloy heads that Dean sells, buy 3 at a time with cox blades to make a worthwhile posted parcel http://www.indmowing.com.au/catalog/...roducts_id=452
haven't used a plastic head for quite a few years now, get about 6 months (at a guess) from an alloy head which at $11 pop suits me fine - I run 3.3mm diamond edge line on them

I use those alloys on the Pope 33cc. They are so smooth compared to plastic. I tried putting one on the makita 24cc but the string hits the snipper guard. How did you get around that? I went to a mower shop today and picked up a speedfeed which I usually get from Dean but this one was a smaller size, I had no idea speed feeds came in different sizes. The one I had before was too big and heavy, this one seems to work well. I use sthil 2.7mm line on mine. Turns out the tyre is tubeless so mower guy can't fix it unless its a valve issue. Trimmer rack arrived today. http://www.buyersproducts.com/truck-...in-Style/1043/
Looks like Dean sells them as well http://www.indmowing.com.au/catalog/...roducts_id=592, would have saved me some dollars as well. The ones I used previously were the 450 which are more suited to over 25cc
When people 30km away ring and organise a meet and great, for potential ongoing monthly maintenance, however when you arrive, no one is home

Four months back I had a person wanting me to travel 84km and last week another rang from a small farm and asked me to travel 41 km whilst her husband was ill.
I don't have a Tardis machine on loan from the Time Lords, so the answer was No Thankyou.
But to travel 30km and there not home to greet. Grrrrr!!!

Left a card and they rang just before. Thought we had arranged 6pm not 4pm.
Going over there again tomorrow, to see how profitable it will be, if at all.
