Was there a bikini clad babe on the furniture when you were moving it?

Get a phone call from one of my major business clients to say that a lady drove past there business and got a flat tyre and that it's alleged that I was mowing their property and must have caused the puncture with debris on road and wanted compensation.

Humm a good story from the road user, but I have been at Beechworth Caravan Park in our van with my wife for the past three days and no lawns have been mowed. Unbelievable what some people will try.

Lost a client today the daughter brought her mum of 85 a mower with key start so she can do her own lawn. i know she isn't up to it. I don't think kids see there parent getting older and frail.

Wow, are you serious? That is unbelievable that a person old enough to drive a car has that much of a blame mentality.

I was kinda taken away by the call and even if I had of been mowing I would not have accepted responsibility to the car driver using the multi lane road, as I would have been requested to call her. It's a major rd too and has high truck volumes using it.

Some people will do anything to screw someone else, even for a $25 puncture repair whilst driving down an ex highway.

Macka, pay a friendly courtesy visit around the Dec 19th ask how she is coping and show real concern for personal safety/well being. You will have that lawn back soon me thinks.
At that age it is down right dangerous to be mowing alone and unsupervised or even trying to mow.

If she is a Veteran Affairs card holder, ie Gold Card. One can contact RDNS (Royal District Nursing) and express concern for her personal safety as they will inform her doctor and localised care agencies. But that path may not be the involvement level we may like to choose unless one was very fearful of the person's safety.
I've been a carer for that age bracket and the memories of it are painful.
    Cheers Garry

Just to put perspective on this. After working in the tyre industry for over ten years. This doesn't surprise me one bit.
Some of the spew I've heard would make your head spin.
Also i've seen screws etc in tyres that have gone rusty they have been in there so long. She could have had the puncture for weeks without the tyre going completely flat.

Grudge purchases and spending money on petrol and cars really brings out the worst in people.
ipods and ciggies on the other hand and they can't get the money out quick enough.

Kevin bloody Wilson wrote a song about my day today. First lawn, in the rain put a rock through one of those big sliding glass doors. That's gunna cost me $550, ouch, Second job the whipper snipper that broke the glass blew up, well the clutch is rooted so not worth fixing, another $500 plus yippee, yesterday the business computer shat itself , tech head says cant be fixed so that is the three things.... MERRY CHRISTMAS MARK... I have never been tested as much as this Christmas doing this work, I am about to crack...all this talk of good customers and gold clients don't kid yourself guys, they are only nice to you when things are going their way . I had a good client txt me about doing her hedges next week, I replied that it is to late to get them done before Christmas as I am only mowing from now till the big day. This lady has always been very nice to me, and I do a lot for her, but the reply txt was a page long and very nasty, so my advice is look after yourselves guys, because all clients no matter how good, only care about themselves. So fark em all, and to all a good night

never had heard a truer word NLALM....we all have gold customers, platinum and all that bullsh1t but in my long experience i have learnt to think of myself first because as you said when things dont go there way the bastards turn on ya ...I can list pages of gold customers and they did this and they gave me that ..your point should be clearly taken on board to those who care to listen. Dont give up mate it will turn in your favour, have had similar experiences like that in my early days and bet you will have that happen in the later days as well
