Last week, i took my trailer to my regular mechanic in Mitcham, VIC to adjust or repair my brake cable.
On Tuesday, I picked it up and few days later, we found out that one of the wheels got 2 missing nuts and 1 nut not even been tightened yet.
Lucky nothing happened since I used the trailer to carry heavy stuff and drove on the freeway everyday.
Yesterday, I called them and they denied that they touched the wheel.

So anyone knows reliable trailer repair shops around SE Melb Area??

Getting stung with counterfeit money... Had some cash on me from some jobs... mostly $50 notes and a $100... had an afternoon out with the wife and we had an hour before we had to be home for the babysitter so thought we would stop at maccas and get an ice cream... went to pay with a $50 note and had the police called on me for holding a counterfeit note..

after a 30 minute chat, had the $50 confiscated and now I have to provide a list of clients who paid me in $50's for the last few days.

Even though I'm innocent, i'm losing the $50 and had to deal with the embarrassment of 3 coppers standing over me at maccas while everyone watched on.

tradam wow I really feel sorry for you. Wow counterfeit plastic notes. In the bad old days of paper money the badies could try but where would they get that plastic from? Hope the police catch them. Would be even better if you got your money back.

Hope things get better for you.
    Cheers

Redeye, you must be spewing after all those good reviews you have been giving, was it covered by warranty. Have you got it back yet?

On another note redeye what do you think of this. Has it got a place in a contractors kit? I think the guy who is selling picks up mowers cheap and restores them for sale. Any value in this you think?

that's the 18" version steveo but doesn't mulch? I think its more for slashing/ferals

the new 560 doesn't seem as good as the ol' 550 - bloody briggs taking over everything and building to a price

YEah I noticed it was 18" after I posted. Hard to see the need for a slasher once you have a ride on. I remember you saying one was better than the other, just wasn't sure which. Tried a new technique today, had a lawn that was too lush and long (clover) to mow with the cox but too long and damp for the Honda. It needed to be caught else it would have looked crap. The rover may have done the trick but I don't have room for it. Anyway what I did was mow it fairly high with the Honda and as usual it did a crap job but when I went over it with the cox it made a such a huge difference. It just tidied up all the bits the honda misses with hardly any discharge.

Lastjob of the day, had my blower stolen in South Rd Brighton.
Finished one customer & moved onto the next door where I thought I'd just pop my blower over their front fence as it was hot.
After mowing & edging, came back for the blower & it was GORRRNNN !
Oh well, could have been much worse.
It was an old pope blower that although running well was starting to show its age.
Plenty of way more valuable equipment in the truck, luckily they took the least valuable machine.
Proly value it at $50 or less.
Bit of a wake up call, be wary indies.
Again, no big monetary loss here, its just the feeling of being had !!!
    Cheers Fred.

Got one of those recently, they ring pretty often, are they legit or not. I'm getting more and more abrupt with them too. I mean how would I ever tell they placed the ad, I'm not a copper so wouldn't get to see the magazine to see the ad.

There are a few different ones, but the one that got me a few years ago, did send me a copy of the magazine with about a thousand ads in it. Took me forever to find my ad.
I think the advertisers are the only people that get a printed copy. "Members" got to their website and can read/download the latest magazine without all of those pesky advertisements.
I asked a few of the local coppers and they had never heard of the magazine or the organisation.
