did a little job on monday, spraying glyso on some long grass - ended up removing 16 ticks off me. They were grass ticks, (not paralysis ticks which I get pretty regularly) tiny little f**ks to get out but still make you itch like crazy for a week or 2

Lol Gary
I just read it before. Made me laugh and say yep they are Australia wide. Looks like quite a few of us are stuck with the rain. Not as much as you here but damp and sodden. I am lucky I have a webpage to work on. Will keep me gainfully employed for a bit. Our dog has gone back to bed.

Would have kept it on in the private section, but thought nah - better wipe it whilst I still could.
Might use the day wisely and go up to my shed and weld an umbrella placement socket onto me upper mower handle. Then days like today will not impair my schedule. lol. You know "Mary Poppins" style.
Cheers Garry
This makes me mad, when your whipper snipping and people walk up behind, or in front of you, you don't see em coming even though I am always on the look out for pedestrians, then they give you a filthy look. Happened to me today, macho man and his girl going for a walk, he is 4 feet from me before I see him, his girl had the brains to stop until I saw her.
I get the same thing alot of times. When i see them (constantly allways looking around for people) i will stop the machines and smile . Alot of people say thank you. there are some who give you that look too.
I did have one lady ( brain missing) who stopped next to me and didnt move. I thought she was waiting for someone but no.... Just dumb. I moved to another area and she moved on....Go figure?

Yer, same as everyone else, stop & smile when I see them, Im constantly on the look out but..............
What about the ones that push the 18 month old in the stroller through.
He/She is right in the firing line & they can't speak for themselves !!!
Cheers Fred.
I ran into that fella this morning Fred.
Was mowing a school & heading towards the fence at the footpath when I saw him pushing a pram with a little baby. No worries, I pulled up about 20m short & shut off the deck & rolled a smoke while he waddled past. I'd no sooner kicked the deck in & started off again, & he's done a U turn & is back in front of me again. No hurry & no wave or anything.
I should have rushed at the fence with the deck off to see if he had another gear in that pram.
How about the women who brings he 2 kids down to watch you work. no joke

Rant time
Have had a Colorado for 12mnths. It has always had a slight vibration, that goes through the whole car and steering wheel. I've had the wheels balanced, both at Holden and independently, nothing can be found.
So now the steering wheel shudders under brake application, and the vibration has gotten worse up around 100km/hr.
I ring Holden today and explain the situation, they ask do you tow a trailer? I say yes. They say that's why your brakes are warped and it's not covered by warranty
Brand new vehicle, done 39000km, yet the issue isn't covered under warranty. When I mentioned taking it up with consumer affairs, the guy laughed at me.
end rant
