Well Now!
When you come back whingeing and say they have not paid, OR decided to change the mowing freqencies, OR change the price they want to pay you, OR cancel the service there is only one person to blame!!!
Hi Bluey,
we have a deal for regular service, first time has been overgrown lawn, they needed complete clean up in side from weeds and i gave them price for first service and they accept it. and I gave them for price for regular after that. I did once regular and they still didn't pay for it...
Maybe I will go next week with to check what happen

I do one and they are now two payments behind, still haven't provided the copy of the 2 yr contract they want me to sign which I might add I haven't even read or seen.
none of my business andy so fill free to tell me to piss off , but i think you should be contacting them requestion payment for works completed and heavily sugesting direct payment = thay might not be holding back on you but if you continue working for them set it straight from day one payment is required by a set date ... cheers
Just had a conversation with the director. will get payment then decide if I'll ever go back there.
But that's not why I opened this thread, just had a pita client request I do extra work weed spraying property when I'm there this week, judging by the feralness of the property I figured it will probably use 4l of mixed up glypho so I kindly quoted that I'd charge no more than $20 thinking if I do it, I should be paid for it, it's extra time out of my day etc. He tells me and I quote "Forget it then come next week then." Say hi to the devil when you get back to where you're from...
Yeah many people seem to have this mentality. If I run across one I often ask them what they do for a quid. When they come back with their job then I ask them a question related to their line of work. For instance if the guy was a mechanic I might say "Would you replace and all my tyres and do a wheel balance for the price of a basic service". That normally gets the point across.

Hi Zoran
I would be billing them for your time taken to turn up to do the job when you found the cowboy doing it. You had an arrangement with them to do this as a regular service so if they wanted to discontinue that they should have advised you. And I would be giving them a reminder on the overdue account. Then I would cease all services to them. They are obviously not a client you want to have if they pull the rug out from under you like that.

So true, unless you point it out they just expect that you'll weed that garden bed here, and prune that tree there, fix that leaking tap, and maintain their hole property for the basic price of $45...
And while I'm still grumpy and blackbear hasn't told me to pull my head in, how about the ones that park their cars in the front yard while there's a driveway and a garage and a street to park on. One I used to do always had to move 2 or more cars before I could start...every three weeks same time same day same thing...umm why not just park on the driveway that day or the night before!
Another favorite tack on mine is when they say can you just do this extra I say I certainly can but it will cost you extra though. Sometimes they say do it sometimes they don't. I know what you mean about cars on the lawn. I have just mown around them before if no one is home. Getting them moved is a pain. Maybe charge a waiting time.

Hey Andy,
I do jobs and if I have to chase money I chase the money hard and then don't bother going back, they ring me and ask why I haven't been back and I say that I had to chase you for the money so you have to chase me for the work. I then tell them if they don't tell me first that I won't be back.
You don't need the crap chasing money
