Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I would never call customers idiots, they are just looking for a service that suits there situation. Sometime you can help them sometimes you cant.
Im looking for referal customers that tust me, and they are out there. the last 3 full time customers i got didnt ask for a quote they rang and politely asked if i could fit there place into my lawn mow round. I gave them the fully insured professional gear spill, got there lawn info re: Dog? access ? and the was lawn done 2 weeks ago and not overgrown?, a email address for inviocing and on the roster.
The customers chasing multi quotes from contractors are easly weeded out, i never quote on the day they ring i say it would be about 2 days before i would be able to drop around. I call in 2 days and ask if they still require a quote for regular mowing. If they rang a heap of people they normanly aready have it done, if they just wanted my quote they will wait 2 days and I will do it when im there quoting.
My quality of work and rates speak for themself with referals form long standing customers. my book are full so im lucky i can pick and choose.
