Hope you didn't go to Ikea and buy it! People tend to get a bit grumpy trying to find the exit from what I have heard.

I did a rare quote for a caller on Thursday for a large joint on a cnr, into the quote he says I'm sacking the current guys for non/slow attendance and then whilst in the rear yard he tells me he sacked the guy before that being a Jim's after an incident.(With a grin on his face)
I thought, I don't want this due to the mega amount of grass pick up required and this guy thinks his better. Quoted super high price and walked away very quickly, put phone number in my contacts to ensure if there was a return call not to answer
For the last 5+ years we have also cut about 1.5mtrs of grass on nature strip which is technically his but we have just done it.
Will make sure Joe makes sure everything in line with his fence line is not cut.
Wonder how that will go down

When playing You Tube can't cut the Mustard.

Midnight Oil Playing in Town 13,000-14,000 people at the Mega Gig. Friday 03 Nov
24 yr old daughter just leaves home not to see the Oil's, but Shannon Noll, Live & Free and the SSA Club Albury.

And I'm home having a 8 yr old scotch and playing the Oil's on You Tube, what has life come too.!!!Grrrr. What happened to me younger days partying hard at Top Of Town Doncaster, St Moritz St Kilda, MRA Club House in Fitzroy, Torquay Pub and the Tarmac Hotel Laverton.

    Re the Daughter, where safe.
She begs me to go to any Elton concerts, we both went to Rod Laver Arena together Dec '15 the day after she arrived home from 6 mths in Europe. I picked her up in Melb, paid for the concert and luxury hotel. I said no to the very recent Yarra Valley Elton Concert, So she live streamed some of it to me at home.
She begged me to be with her at the up coming Paul McCartney concert
In July she drove to Byron bay for ""Splendour in the Grass""
Flew to Tassie for a Falls Event and has gone to Lorne twice for Falls Events.
Travels to Melb for almost everything.
Plus done several concerts across Europe without Shannon Noll in Sight. She Skyped the folk band "First Aid Kit" from Europe to us.

Its the other daughter who sings "Silvery Moon" and something about Horses, We'll be riding on the horses, Yeah Yeah.

Well I can tell you the Oil's concert was not as loud as Jimmy Barnes when he toured, As we live on the surrounding hills some 10 Ks from the event and we could hear the "Thump Thump" of Jimmy's concert.
    Cheers Garry

When you become lazy and put your mower into a shop to get a service. Then go to take the blades off to sharpen them, only to find you can't
Take back to said shop and get told, they will not send mowers out without the blades being that tight, and that my compressor and or rattle gun is a piece of crap, if it couldn't undo the bolts

Rather than accept that someone may have overtightened the bolts, they continue to blame my equipment. Half tempted to get the manufacturers required torque for blade bolts and give it to them, as I'm positive these were over tight.

When another lawnie who has only been in the business this year alone rips off his clients. One of my clients that lives in a 60 unit complex that I look after had a Lawnie come and do some work in her back yard.

The back yard is only about 22m2 with a retainer wall at the back. His first rip off job he charged approx $1000 to put down about 2m3 of Tea Tree Mulch and plant 6 Lilly Pilly plants.

His second rip off was that he was asked to re-turf the back yard. He got Sir Walter turf, He charged $1200 to do that. $400 of which was the turf alone. His idea of ground prep was to spray all the grass with round up, come back a week later and put the new stuff straight down on top. Four weeks later I was asked to come and have a look. I have now replaced the turf (The suppliers of the original turf replaced half free of charge and have banned his business from purchasing from them again).

I leveled the ground, applied new turf fertiliser and wetting granules, applied turf properly, and with in days the grass is already greening up nicely. I will be over turfing when the new grass has settled in to fill in all his other lumps and bumps.

He has also ripped off some other tenants in the complex as well by charging up to $35 mow their court yards which are no bigger than probably 30m2 at the largest.

Next new elderly client (85) I go to, had irrigation laid in her front garden, This dip sh*t used 7 cheap multi head connectable sprinklers from bunnings with garden hose between them, attached to a cheap timer set for 90mins twice a day, for a total of 6 plants. He left no instructions on how to reset the timers. She got her water bill and near had a heart attack. I have now replaced the irrigation with Micro jet irrigation set for 15mins every third day. compared to the near 800L/day that was being used with this guys set up. This guy charges about $500 to lay all that.

Seriously annoys me people doing this. I love it that i am getting more clients from it though, but at what expense to them.

    My rant over.

Go in and complain loudly to the owner/manager while the shop is full of clients

From one of my mower manuals.

"Tighten the blade bolt nuts firmly. Correct torque is 44Nm (32 ft lbs). Blades must be free to turn, but not loose"

if for 22sqm, that would make sense
