lol....now that is more like it. At least your accepting the blame. Seriously though I don't know if there is a better way or not. Maybe a bullet if you exceed 20k's over the limit. I think they do that in China.

    Hoons....no hoons in China

I once had the cruise controll on in my car and was being over taken by 2 cars and the police officer walked out into my lane pulled the three cars over told the other 2 they could go and then tried to tell me i was speeding so i told her what i thoght. she then went back to her car and came back with a ape recoreder and shoved it in my face so i told her off even more making sure every second word was f*(^ or one of its cosins when we went to court the police would not play the tpe for the magistrate and tried to make up some story that when they tried to record it to cd it was accidently wiped what a joke. After 5 days wages lost to eventally get it to court i lost more in wages than what the fine wold be and thats the way the cops set it up so you will just pay the ticket.

Drop in temps and some good regular rain here have turned march/april into september/october. Glad I stopped advertising!

There has to be a better way - any solutions to this revenue raising?????????
GPS! warns you of fixed cameras :-) but it is just a toy to help you with the symptom! If I speed or rush its usually because I feel pressured! consolidate your run so you dont have to run :-) if your not making enough raise your prices so you are...just a thought I have found myself rushing through things and not enjoying what i do! and that is not why I am a Lawnie, I actually enjoy what I do... of course i could be wrong

do the maths and don't speed the difference between traveling 10km at 80 km/h and 90km/h means you will get there less than 1 minute earlier (if you don't have to stop at the lights or are you planing on ignoring these as well as the speed laws ) but if for some reason you have to brake your chances of a collision are massively higher because the distance you require to stop is so much greater and could well mean the difference between leaving someone with a bruise or breaking there bones so be a good person and don't break the LAW instead of trying to find ways to break it with out getting caught

And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Personally speaking I am happy to concede the higher moral ground to those whom are without error. My ipod app was about $100 or you can get a gps for around $150.00 that will keep you out of some trouble.

The reality for me is when i am juggling things, pulling over to take calls and re-entering traffic etc, as I have a trailer on all the time
, I am far more focused on what the idiots in cars around me are doing than the placement for punitive revenue raising devices that have been shown to have no impact on road fatalities. However they do have a nice sales pitch moralising the point :-)

yeah yeah,....switch on the red light and speed camera warning and it will drive you crazy but it works if that is what you want. Tree Beard you can kill two birds with one stone with your GPS if you get one that has a hands free function. That way it will warn of the fact your speeding, that your coming up to a redlight camera and you can talk on the phone wit hit via blue tooth and not have to pull over. I got a Tom Tom about a month ago to replace my old one and it does all this. Only cost $225. I personally don't think it is that hard to stay on or under the speed limit. I have been driving for 36 years and in that time have had two speeding tickets and one issued by a cop who reckoned I ran a red light. I reckon I went through on amber but my solicitor told me to grin and wear it

I don't condone blatant speeding, or excessive speed for the conditions, but the revenue raising aspects of fines for 2 or 3 k's over give me the irrits, so I make a point of fighting them.

I haven't paid a speeding fine in years - ALWAYS take them to court.

Couple of points; If pulled over, NEVER admit you were speeding. When they ask if you have any excuse for speeding, they are seeking an admission of guilt - don't give them one.
Secondly, if it's a speed camera fine, get the picture. If there is any other vehicle in the picture, you will get off if you fight it.

Of course, if you're doing lots over the limit, you're an idiot and deserve to get fined.

Tickets issued for no more than 10 k's over are quite likely within the error range of the equipment, and you will get off, but you MUST fight it.
