Spot on mate. Might try asking my sparky when he's here next week to fix three lights for the price of one!

Good service is one thing, free stuff is another..Speak up or they will expect it every time..I have some customers that were like this, I`d grit my teeth and do it to keep them happy..Then one day i got fed up it was turf them or speak up..They are now very good customers and don`t expect freebies..But always expect good service..

No it would not prune them ok. You need good sharp cuts on the right angles with roses and a bit of finesse. Rose pruning takes time and is not something you can rush. Therefore it costs more.

You should see how they prune the roses at Flemington Racecourse...some of the finest in the country. Watched it on Gardening Australia once. They run along the tops of the bushes with a hedge trimmer!

Roses are weeds. Molest them any way you see fit and they will grow.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

There r many ways to prune roses.
Id be qute happy to attack carpet roses with my hedgecutter, but I would'nt recomend it 4 prize floribundas or hybrid T's.
Well worth learning how to prune roses properly, its not that hard & the results r certainly worth the small amount of extra effort!
    Generally.
    1 Reduce by 1/3rd to a 1/2.
    2 Remove all dead/diseased material.
3 Prune centre to an open vase shape to create better air flow.
4 Prune stems back to a bud facing in the desired direction (generally outward).
5 Prune just above the b ud on a 45degree angle, so any water runs away from the bud.
6 Remove any spindly or crossing stems.
7Remove the thorns from your secateur hand, unless pruning Icebergs
    Cheers Fred.

Is there any need to clean/disinfect your secateurs before/during pruning?
