Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

it would appear that lawnies are a grumpy lot
Things that make me grumpy 64 pages over 9 1/2 months = 6.7pages/month
    Things that make HAPPY '''''' 6 pages over 2 1/2 months = 2.4 pages/month

or nearly 3 times as many things to be grumpy about as happy

I hate being a weekend warrior and the week is sensational and then at 5pm Friday afternoon the rain begins.

    Ahhhhh!

I hate doing a quote on a friday, for a job on saturday, so I can have some spare cash to pay for an ebay whippy on sunday, then waking up to rain on saturday morning.

Which begs the question. Is ebay or buying second hand for the pro gardener really worth it?
After the search, u end up with a machine uve never seen b4, with potential probs, that has x amount of work on it, that u may have to spend more time running around getting parts, then time on repairs.
Was'nt having a shot, & spose if your after it 4 parts or pick it up 4 an absolute bargain, u might be on a winner.
    Cheers Fred.

Yeah, it's an old stihl for $25, not working, but better than my current backup whippy. Might be good for parts or something.

SURE IS!!! The last 2 honda 195's that were barely used at $440 and $260 were a bargain. 1 almost new the other not far off that.

Ebay is fine provided you ask questions and if you're bidding on something mechanical or expensive ask the seller if you can view the item first.
If the seller is genuine and has nothing to hide they'll usually say ok.

I bought my Deutscher H26 this way. It had a few small problems to fix but nothing that couldn't be easily sorted in an afternoon in the shed. It had been fitted with an 11 hp Honda engine that had barely been run in when I bought it.

Just remember the old adage, if something looks to good to be true, it usually is!

excellent machines, used them on Council many moons ago!

something making me a bit grumpy is being one of the front-runners in a local NRL tipping comp and having to back teams I hate, to stay up there with the front-runners( like Manly grrr, I'm a Sharky), I even picked the dragons tomorrow night which makes me want to punch myself, but there are some big cash prizes up for grabs
