    Default Help with walker

    Hi everyone
    I have a MT series 26hp walker.
I went to do a job this morning. My walker starts with no worries it revs to full speed but when I go to drive forward or engage the deck the engine stalls.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ross.

I'm at Abermain. Most of my work is in the Maitland area. I checked the blower and there was nothing caught in it. Also I havent hit anything.

Do you have a electric or manual clutch arrangement? switch or lever to engage blades? If lever then check to see if the micro switch which operates from the bottom of lever is seized in. It's hard to explain on here but if you pop the body up and follow the lever down you will se a switch which is operated from the lever, Mine had this problem a couple of weeks ago and I just removed switch and cleaned it with wet and dry and give it a spray of wd40. All fixed, if its not that it could be the safety switch on seat.

Thanks for your reply SCW. I think I have traced it to being the safety sensors under the seat. The ends of the sensors (little rollers) have broken off. Will be a trip to the mower shop Monday morning.
    Cheers.

It's a good idea to pull off the terminal connectors, fuses and blow them out with compressed air occasionally as well. I had dramas with my Toro park brake, I pulled the wires off blew them out with air ....... no more problem.
