There is a fair bit of flex which I hope is enough to not break the handle. Hasn't happened yet touch wood. How did you go about repairing it? Was it a welding job? Maybe I'm doing it slightly different to you, if I ever meet up with you we can compare notes.
I got one welded and the other had to replace

I now tie up at the lower end of the handle near the small 90 bend in the steel rod

I notice the guys who did it did not update the weight on the compliance plate so my trailer is registered for 215kg when it is actually around 100kg heavier now. This might be normal practice to not update the tare after modifications.
Mine is no more than 380kg, it hasnt been registered before being brand new, and in order to get rego for it it has to go over the weigh bridge once it has been built..and its dry weight is then recorded on the plates

That's good. Maybe because its a new build they can use less framing than when they add on to an existing build or maybe I'm just overestimating. The less weight the better.

I meant the same thing. I strap the handlebars from that same area. ( where the bottom part bends at the top).
    as in the pic.

I got my new trailer home today. Still a bit of work to do and experimenting to see if I need to make a longer tailgate/ramp and limit the tilt.
No flash tool boxes. I'd be happy if I could fill my schedule with just a zero turn & a brushcutter

Looks good mate! I doesnt look steep enough to warrant ramps. If you can get away without them I wouldnt worry about them. Its just another couple of steps to load/unloading.
    Congrats!

Thanks Mick. I ran the Ferris up forwards and it got up ok but had to go almost to the front of the trailer before it would tilt back down. Tried reversing up, but it wouldn't climb up. Worst case would be to make another tailgate 600mm long. That would reduce the slope heaps.

Got the trailer, now the Ferris blew a deck idler bearing and they are talking 3-4 weeks to get a new one on back order from Briggs. Lucky the old Gravely doesn't break down

Not sure how tilt trailers work put could you maybe stiffen the pivot point somehow to you have to manually pull the trailer up and down. Bt the way what sort of ferris do you have, was thinking of getting an F50XT. 3-4 wks wait for a part is ridiculous.
