I wonder how many tennis balls they would loose in that?

A 5 metre A-frame should do the trick... maybe? And arms like Arnie wouldn't hurt either.

    Cheers - GardenGuy.

You know the multiplier to attach to the next service... just before Christmas.

You do nice work. Your client should be right happy.

    Cheers - GardenGuy.

EDIT: Pic of work appeared after original post, so no opportunity to congratulate.

If I had fallen onto that tennis court, I would be in a hospital bed typing on this post.

Interesting form with the tree growing within the hedge.

You could well be dead. My neighbour 2 doors-up died after falling from a trestle clamped atop 2 8ft step ladders last year. He was working on a lawn area but hit his head on the only bit of hard surface in that spot.

That incident has made me very reluctant to do work at heights without proper equipment now.

A good mate, not a contractor, bounced onto the ground while hedging up a ladder last November. Luckily, he landed on his shoulder and not his bonce.

He still can't get his right arm up square to his shoulder. Not a good thing for a really active bloke. It makes it hard for him to cycle for extended periods and makes it really painful for him to ride his Ducati or his Harley on his free weekends. (He is at that lucky stage of life where there is enough money for toys and the kids are old enough to attend to themselves for the most part.)

Moral of the story: Safety before all else, for those of us in the business, and for the weekend warriors.

    Cheers - GardenGuy.

    Can't agree more.
    Im one for saftey always.
Even when i was doing this hedge job today.
Extreamly careful in my approach. Thats why it too me ages to do it.
But after the sweat and stress of it ll.... It's too much of a risk .
I was going to get 2 A frame ladders and a plank between them. But the client had a decent ladder,
From now on, ive got my Hedg platform Gorilla .
Any higher than 6 feet... Im not doing it...
I want to live to see and walk my daughter down the isle...she's 3years old

I quoted on a big one like that last week. Pics are in the members forum. I quoted high $ but probably still not high enough for the scope of the job. Haven't heard back from the customer and not too worried if I don't.
