    yeah hand shears is a bit much but it leaves a nice result. I reckon there'd be at least 2 to 3 hours work in each set of shrubs.

    Hey Redeye. What trimmer do you use? Those hedges look verry straight and clean cut.

    Hey Redeye, grab the handclippers and just put a little taper on the front edge of the buxus, just makes it look just that little better. I used to try and end up with a sharp edge but found that a slight taper looks so much better.
    Great job tho, love the Camellia hedges. wish I had a few more here to do.

    David, I've recently got a cordless 18v hedger I use to finish/tidy with....shots were taken b4, it was actually a rush/roughish job as I didn't have a blower with me

    Looks the goods the 18v hedger, Makita ? how does the battery last. Friend has one that seems to last for about 1.5hrs with continual use.

    Ive had the 18v black n decca hedger pole.
    It last for 2 hrs.
    But getting a spare baftery is hard to find. Around $60.

    yeah a makita, haven't run it longer than about 20 mins, probably get 1.5-2hrs at a guess, def doesn't give the cut quality of the petrol mak though - as said, only gets used to touch up and do small lollypops etc
