Knowing teh variable nature of some Pittosporums (Silver Sheen) I don't know if I'd use one for a long term hedge project.
The English also use Yew a lot, better known here as Conifers. The conifer 'Leighton Green' is something that is readily available here and would probably lend itself well to being trained into an arch, probably using a steel arch to train them over as they grow together.
Yeah those aint bad.... conifers are very slow growers looking for some thing that will grow farley quickly....
Lilly pilly put there leaves are rather big for a formal look....

Thats what ill go with tryed it before as a hedge but didnt go to well there....But as a stand alone tree might do well....Cheers
