How were they when you first kicked off, this is classy work, and how long did it take to complete, and how often??

Thanks guys. I've been looking after this place for 18 months now, the hedges where in bad shape when i first started. The front hedges take around 3 and 1/2 hours to do, including cleaning up. There are plenty more hedges out the back as well and they take another 2 and 1/2 hours.
I do visits to the property every 2 weeks year round and do the hedges 6 times a year, twice in Spring and Summer, once in Autumn and Winter.
As for the hedger, it's a Kawasaki actually, it's an awesome hedger.

I'm gonna say your way off...

    5 - 6 hours of hedging $500 - $550 is my guess.

I wish we had a few more slow growing varieties up here, seems like all the hedges on my books need doing every visit during spring and summer.

the good old marketing spiel of a fast growing almost instant hedge, they don't add that it will then need almost constant pruning to keep it looking good
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
