Easter Sunday arvo , after a morning of small but perfect waves , kicking back now with some easter eggs and rpm on the telly
Wife had low speed car accident today in her new car that has 2,200ks on it.
Yes - Happy thread,
No one injured, apart from personal mental wellbeing
No other Party involved,
Car driveable legally home, but gonna cost a few coins.
It could have been a worse situation and I was working for the group multi business company today (who RACV has approved to fix it) when my wife rang crying in a total mess. I obviously requested this approved repairer as I know them being my main client. Bugger what a day!!!
Cheers Garry
That's not good mate, she's ok that's the main thing
She's Ok, no other party involved, it can be fixed, thanks for the kind words.
Today, 2hrs and 10 minutes continuous vertical edging on the battery whipper, 95% on eco mode using TB2.7mm on the big commercial job. One heat related error code and man the lower unit got darn hot too. Used two and a bit 9.4amp batteries and did the job 3wks back but they water a lot, plus they fertilise and had 12 mm rain in between.
The battery whipper is a magic piece of gear, but its the only battery appliance I can use on the property.
Cheers Garry
You always seem to be inundated with work/enquiries/ wankers, late calls and the like.....I'm amazed no-one has started up in your area and given you a run for your money.....just saying.
I think your post is referring to me??
NLALM is one of our battery guro's hence the attached update today and he has seen pictures of the very sizeable worksite and task at hand with today's regular job.
The calls hit harder when you are in top 3 google searches that displays your business without the searcher needing to be clicking or be highlighting or clicking on more places. Plus if clients put a 5 star review on you, it kicks it along too.
I check google at least weekly and if I drop out of the top 3, then I work on it to get myself back up there which can take a 7-10 days to happen. Seriously, apart from word of mouth, well signaged rig, below comments, maintaining yourself on Google is so important. Not mentioning FBook as I can't stand it. Also dropping out of the top 3 Google you will know it as your phone stops ringing like an on/off switch.
Trust me there is a massive amount of competition around me, but it doesn't worry me the slightest because if your comfortable in believing you are doing the best you can at a reasonable price or even just slightly higher than many. Then the quality of work and self presentation justifies it.
Lots of competition can help you as it highlights the good things one does compared to the what the pack delivers. I would sooner drop one job a day in my schedule and ensure a better job is provided to each customer. That's been the core of my business model and after 8 yrs, all's good.
Cheers Garry

So re hashing rosters and prior committed booked dates and organising a 5 day short localised caravan trip next weekend starting this Friday, gotta turn a negative weather event into a positive. Even thought prior to the break and after will be more concentrated work wise to get the days off. Its a flexiable life in what we do re mowing, just need to make it happen sometimes.
Cheers Garry
Had to squeeze a late one in this arvo while I had the big mower onboard. It was a steep longish 1500mē vacant block with no fences.
Pulled up right on 5pm & drove away at 5.18.
they're the good'uns!

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
Winner winner chicken dinner. Good job.
Yep had that thought towards the end of a job a couple times thinking I've under quoted.
Finally getting around to buying my 4 favourite pink floyd albums and playing them thru a decent HIFI stereo which included a pair of JVC bookshelf speakers I picked up from the tip. Best speakers I have ever owned.
I still remember every word. Can't remember what I did yesterday though.
I gave the early ones a miss started with Meddle thru to the Wall.
