Can’t say it makes me happy or grumpy but ol mate round the corner from a client of mine clearly spends more money on glyphosate than he does on fuel, blades & waste.. what a pissa...!

I'm confused are you saying that's not the way lawns should look
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

"All sin is washed away in the Holy goodness of Beer"
Book of Redeye, Psalm 69
Was doing a job today in a well off part of town and a guy starts yelling and waving at me from the neighbours balcony to turn the mower off. I turned it off and asked him what he wanted. He said to stop mowing for 5 mins as he had a function. I said what is the reason. He said 'breakfast'. They were up there getting waited on having a champagne breakfast with well dressed important looking people. I said nah, I have to work (I wouldn't be surprised if their breakfast was subsidised by the taxpayer in some way or another) and I kept going. If I had of stopped this would be in the grumpy thread.
In early April, went out to the paddock to get a load of firewood, and found my splitter missing.
I didn't have any hope of ever seeing it again, so had to buy a new one.
On Friday, the manager of the property rang to tell me it's been found in the nearby National Park, so went straight up to collect it.
Looks like they towed it there on flat tyres and eventually jack-knifed it reversing off the track into the scrub. The drawbar and wheels were twisted up and looked pretty bad, but got it straightened out and operational pretty easily yesterday.
