Nope it's true. Apparently started 1st July. We were the only ones paying anything for green waste. Residents and beer money bobs never had to pay, so it was a bit hard convincing clients that we had to pay.
I just hope it's permanent.

That's bordering on the miraculous !!!!!!!! Since when in this day and age do prices go down - yes, let's hope it is permanent and even spreads.
I spend most of my money on beer and horses, I just waste the rest....

Great they don't charge there,
In my locality every house on both sides of the Border have now a full sized Green Organics Bin, emptied weekly on both sides of the Border. No choice, all must have a green bin including one bin to every flat also.
One tip weights by weight and it's always less than $20 for a caged tandem of green tree waste.(don't go with wet grass there, but never have any grass to take away). A few weeks back I gave a customer voucher and the operator said you may like to keep it as its only $5. I said take the voucher,,, I had about 5 vouchers on hand from other customers.
We have another place who charges $12 for green tree waste for tandems.
Cheers Garry
And down here ours went up $2 per cube, to $37 per cube, max of 3 per trip. It cost me $425 over 3 days on a job last week
It's always good when the new lady at the tip asks. How much do you think is in the trailer ? Me - answer probably 2 cubic Mtrs when there was 3 at least. New lady - I was thinking about 1 cubic metre. Me - that's good for me. I never argue with ladies.
Wow. Snow in QLD. 5 cm of snow here in Stanthorpe on friday. QLD the sunshine and snow state. It has been 31 years since it has snowed this much so a long time between drinks in the snow. Good fun for the kids (and adults).

The season seems to be having an early change in my neck of the woods, two random calls last Friday which I took on due to being rather quite, Did them on Saturday. Today 5 calls on top of what I have in diary already for the week and with one of those whilst I was preparing to type this.
Best I get of my backside before it really fires up again re the maintenance of mowers, ie Gear drives, blades, check for max rev's and sprayers for Clover,Bin-Die, etc, etc. Might add the Tandem Trailer electric brake adjustment too, to the list.
Just did the Ride on with new drive and mower spindle drive belts, straighten crash bar, oil change etc.
Trying to use up a few council tip passes before they expire as I have a few.
Got to love this work , until it hits 38- 40+ deg everyday over Jan/Feb.
Cheers Garry
Rain day, home on the couch and still getting paid

Heard and saw a male lyrebird doing its thing today in vegetation right at back of house.
Wonderful to have such birds on property
