Having that much work that I can pick and choose which jobs I do and don't want to do.
I was asked to do a yard clean up and remove Bougainvillea plants from the back yard (which I couldn't get the ute in to). I just told them,
"It's too hard and I'm too busy, have a nice day!"
It is a far cry from when I first started in this industry and said yes to every piece of 5hit job that came my way.
Everybody is entitled to MY opinion
Hit a dog turd today. talk about **** hitting the fan. Much of it went straight for my face, but .....i was wearing my husky full face protector muffs and the screen stopped all of it from hitting me. That made my day.

got rid of a pita customer,
disabled fella, i felt sorry for him, so i been mowing cheap (60 to 90 mins and up to a cubic metre of clips for $50)
rang his sis who pays for him, and told her $60/2 weeks max. said ok
got there, and theres a half cubic of green waste to take away from when they kindly chopped it out on the weekend (no one told me beforehand)
left a message on the sis's phone $25 for waste
rang back an hour later, hubby says too much, then she calls me too, so i explain facts of life to her, already working for free/half price.
told her not to come the raw prawn with me,
she sacked me,
went and told the disabled lads mum onsite (shes slightly disabled) what happened, and to say thanks for making me an extra $100 every time i dont do their job (ie its not hurting ME)
now replaced with 2 yards in same suburb, one $70; one $50 (with a green bin and all) just need one more and i can say im that $100 better off for that afternoons work,.
love knocking those pitas off now, and raising prices to all and sundry.
thanks for the advice stripes, thats what im doing, but adjusted slightly cos of what you said.
cheers
