It's all One Direction now.... well at least this week.
my daughter was in tears the other morning, trying to get tickets to one of their concerts. Ticketek crashed after 3 minutes
Thankfully my 12 yr old daughter seems immune to the One Direction and Beibers of the world. She still likes Gaga etc but is happy to turn up the volume on Queens of the Stoneage when in the ute with me.

Showing my age now, when my kids were young they used to play my records and tapes, Led Zepplin, Stones, Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and so on. My youngest son is a DJ in his spare time but still has a few classics in his collection.
I like some of the new music but Bieber NOWAY

Purchased an 04 Rodeo tray on the weekend from Auction, since my Hilux transformed into a mobile BBQ last week. Picked it up today. I was pretty lucky that during the auction it was not made known that it was a v6 engine on gas. Picked it up for 6k. Has 126000 showing on the clock which I thought was ok for age. I started pulling the stuff out of a little bag that was in the glovebox, and was pleased it had a service book and owners manual etc, and other bits and pieces like facia for stereo, and I find this little note "To the new owner of this vehicle,....please contact me regarding this car,..important!" Didn't know what the hell was up with it, and immediately thinking the worst. So I call the guy, and he tells me that there was some extra paperwork that he had forgot to put in the car before it went, that he had left at home. It turns out that it has a fully reconditioned engine in it, and still needed to be run in properly, and he asked me to come around and pick up the 100,000 km warranty. He also had forgotten to include the petrol cap keys, locking remotes and he tells me he also recently installed bluetooth.
Maybe my luck is starting to turn?

Good find for 6K... Did you happen to ask why he sold it? he seems like a decent previous owner and a reconditioned motor just installed... wow!

Until the engine cracks its head! What engine is in it Stump. Keep it well serviced Stump prone to head gasket leaks when run on gas if its the engine i think it is. Surprised you werent put off gas with what you just went through.

The reason he got rid of it Simmo is that it has light hail damage. He was hoping to get both of his utes written off on insurance so he could buy a new ss holden ute. They only wrote off one of them though, and repaired the other and so it backfired on him, and he is stuck with the ute with all of the kms on it. There is about a dozen light dents on the whole car, and you can only see them if you look for them really. He told me that the engine cost him $6500, and that he got 13500 from the insurance company.

Yeah, but what is the alternative? Petrol at double the price?. My BBQ happened when it was switched on fuel mode though. Probably caused by a dry rubber from being run on gas too much lol. I did flick it over about once a week, or when I remembered too.
