I'm now on holidays. One week off. Haven't had a week off since early last year. Cant believe how relaxed I feel already. Along time overdue I be thinking.

going to the Yarra valley for high tea with my wife yesterday very nice relaxing day except i ate so much i could only fit a sandwich in for tea
but a bit sad as i thought Melbourne was dry until we drove through there makes Melbourne look almost green
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

tell me about ...... all ive been taking to the tip is trailer loads of dust
Yarra Valley is notorious for getting blocked in if there is a bush fire - and fires are a raging all over the state.
Suggest everybody postpone travels thru high-risk areas on high risk fire days - check the cfa website before you leave - be safe.

Do you guys have a rough idea of tip costs depending on the job and what you are putting in the trailer?
Tip costs have only come in here in the last 6 months at $35p/tonne for greenwaste. I try to guess sometimes I'm close, sometimes I'm way off and occasionally I get waived through at no charge..
That would make you happy

i always try to round up when quoting if i think 3/4 of a trailer i will quote for the cost of a trailer load if it comes in under then i win if it comes in at a full trailer i don't lose if it comes in at over a trailer i hit Ian with a spade so it won't happen again

when quoting I always quote based on $120.00 per trailer load, which is what the 2 main tips around here were charging for my big trailer, now i have found a tip which charges between $45.00 and $60.00 for the same trailer, but I still quote based on the higher figure. If the job only takes less than a full trailer I will park it at home and wait till its full before dumping so more gravy on top.
We just have to use the magic words at the tip at the moment and its free........"storm clean up"
