Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

It's funny how easy you get used to being part of something more than just yourself. I love my time to myself as I can do as much or as little as I like but as soon as Amanda and the boys go to a friends place for a night or to visit family I'm walking around here thinking gee this place is just too quiet.
Bob, good to hear you got some rain finally!
You guys need a guitar.. you will be pushing your partners out the door so you can make a big noise
My Daughters first day of Kindergarden and just about to leave...
Actually, not sure if that will make me happy or sad when we leave.
Simmo.
Mine youngest son's first day too Simmo. No tears from him, he just ran up the stairs and didn't even wave goodbye.
Yep.. same happened here. Come to think of it... i didn't see any kids cry that were being dropped off or picked up today.
I think it helped as she went to the preschool which is part of the primary school building and a few kids in her class were in her preschool also. They also had a few days in the lead up last year and last week where the kids would go in small different groups for an hour or so.
The class room is an interesting concept... 4 kindy classes are in one massive room (holds around 100 students) and all students can all see eachother. There is a main teacher for each class and also 4 support teachers to assist each class. No way you could muck up there and get away with it! Also, the technology they use to teach really shocked me.... There are times when they work independently, in a group within the class and also part of the day when all 4 classes join.
Looks like i will need to buy an ipad for her already for home use.
Simmo.
When they hit teenage years the little blighters start costing money. My youngest daughter did gymnastics from the age of 5 - 16 far out that was expensive.. She trained 32 hours a week so every 3 months got a bill for $1700 then there were competitions, leatards, trips all around Australia, trips overseas.. One family had 3 of their kids doing this and another doing soccer and karate. I would love to know how much we spend on them over 20 years..
I can see how they can cost alot of money... both of mine (5 and 2) already do dancing, swimming and my eldest is about to start Karate. That is between $2,000 - $2,500 each (including uniforms, concerts, competitions etc).
I was thinking gymnastics would be good but i'm glad you have advised me of the costs lol
Simmo.
Simmo if your daughter just did rec gym its cheap but if she gets good at it and starts training before and after school and on weekends then its expensive. Oh I forgot the on going physio and doctor fees every time they injur themselves and thats all the time.. I would imagine that is all sports..
I will put a couple of proud dad pics up for ya

Netball is just as bad... Just forked out $380 for fees for the domestic comp. Then there's $1500 in fees for the Representative Comp AND if her try outs are successful, $2Kish for State Comp. Not counting the Rep travel and accomodation to Mildura and the State travel and accomodation to Maitland.
It also just cost us $2K to get the same kid ready to start year 7. Not including the fees. That was just uniform and books.
That's one bendy kid you have there AJD! Is that Kostya Tszyu in that last pic?
