P1000661.jpgP1000659.jpgP1000660.jpgAfter a bad day , one thing after another going wrong and the offsider broke another mower, it wasn't his fault but I wont tell him that. Anyway got home made a cuppa tea and had a sit down before having a go at fixing the mower ,Had a look on gumtree to see if there were any mowers for sale, and guess what there was, I picked this up for $600 no joke the old bloke has cut his lawn a couple of times and thought it was to heavy , so he is buying a ride on. And I was going to get another chonda I think this was a good score
Took me 2 hrs and a couple of check n fix as you go to get this gumtree find going. BUT I lost a guard bolt somewhere, 5/8 BSF thread x 25mm long, looked high n low, went to the pub x 2 beers, came home started the old edger 1st pop, man its a good'un, just giving it a run...sounds good, my missus asked me what the bolt looked like, then found it under some cleaning rags. Was a special one that just had to be on the thing. Meaningless comment but after I rewarded the finder I had another 2 beer's.2014_01050010.jpg
Good score NLALM!! its got a snorkel too!! I dont like the starter rope up the handle though, I had one like that and it rubed on the catcher as I was changing it so took it off.. Think I will start looking at Gumtree instead of eBay even though they are one and the same...
Well done NLALM. One of my clients has the same at their holiday house. It's done about 5 hrs and been sitting for 3 years since I started mowing the place.
I'm not brave enough to offer him just $600 for it though
Just found a good crankshaft for my GXV140. Went to a mower repair shop that looks rough as bags on the off chance that he had something. Heard he a had a grave yard down the back that was pretty scary. Sure enough, old mowers stacked on top of each other to head high, and rows of 'em. Found a GXV140 on an old Victa S/P base on the bottom down the back. Half an hour to dig it out and $50. Just finished pulling the crank out and the only thing wrong is it has a different size keyway for the blade disk boss. Will have to drill and tap the boss and throw a grub screw in there. Was told by grant at Honda Spares in Brisbane that they are scarce as hens teeth and if he did find one it would be $80 plus freight. Honda wanted just under $400 for a new one by the way!!!! So now I have something to keep me out of mischief on a rainy day, and that could be real soon by the way the monsoon trough is building up.
Trop do you have a ph number for this Honda Spares in Brissy? Never knew of them until you mentioned it.
Grant is his name. Buys and sells all sorts of Honda motors and associated bits. I know he has reconditioned GXV160s and a used GXV140 last time I spoke to him. Number is 0738056833.
Was blowing down a lawn this arvo, and noticed this lady pull up across the road, she got a couple of grocery bags out and was walking to her front door. It was a bit windy the southerly had just got up, and she had a short dress on,well the wind got under her dress and blew it up around her waist, guess what no panties not even a g banger just a nice ass, made me happy for a while

Lost two big clients in the last month. One, house sold, the other, restaurant shut down after the franchise owner did a runner with all the cash.
BUT, landed a beautiful Federation era home today worth $1.6 mill. Owners have just bought it and want me there every Friday to "do whatever needs doing to keep it looking good." Feeling a little bit happier.
Wouldn't mind seeing a nice bit of ass either though Mark, you lucky bugger.
