The Chinese/Asians have brought resort properties and now there go over there in mass on arranged tours and stay at Chinese own resorts and use Chinese Transport and shop and eat at Chinese owned shops. The Bali people locals are not happy about that. Australia should abandon foreign ownership aswell it not good, foreigners can rent with no restrictions no need to own.
I 100% agree with what you say... The point I am making is Yoko Widodo is supporting Sharia law in Acehs http://www.sbs.com.au/news/dateline/...haria-showdown, he wants foreign ownership reversed, he is doing nothing about drugs on the streets being sold by his own people (Not the Balinese) I just hope he is not a radical islamic getting into power close to us..

x2 That woman that got a stay of execution would have got shot if it wasn't for one of the ring leaders in another country standing up and saying she knew nothing about it she was just a mule. I am against drugs but dont think this will stop it. In the situation of child molesters, rapists, serial killers the world will be a better place without them
Death penalty won't stop any crimes, its not meant for that. It's a deterent saying you roll the dice and get caught and this is what could happen (especially if you can't bribe your way out). It's like cops on the road, there are hardly any but it's the thought that there may be one that gets you worried about speeding. I believe Indonesia has sent out a detterent whereas Australia did the reverse almost holding these guys up (unintentionally) as innocents and heroes. Unfortunaetly for the family and probably the Bali 9 as soon as the media and politicians saw this as a story and a vote grabber, they were doomed. Indonesians have politicians too and they would have used the situation to further their cause in Indonesia, they weren't going to back down to Australia. There's no winners except those who decided to make a buck and grab a vote.
Assume they got away with it, eventually they/them will end up dead or in gaol regardless. Greed and risk taking, same for all crooks, eventually you will be caught and pay whatever penalty applies to the country your in.
I have watched this media circus with all these ppl coming out to support these two saying they should not get the death penalty and how barbaric it is. Where were you all when Indonesia executed the three Bali bombers.....hmmmmmmm. You cant just pick and choose because these two were Australian citizens. No that would be hypocritical wouldn't it.

They should just say the world would be a better place without them as a reason to shoot them as opposed to saying they will shoot them as a deterrent because history has proven the death penalty does not deter drug dealers, killers, rapists and all the other vermin. The media p!sses me off with some of the insensitive stuff they broadcast,, how would the families have felt seeing the coffins and the crosses being engraved on tv while they are still alive..
I dont agree to drugs, dealers, traffickers etc... Every country has their own laws and opinions on drugs.
Indonesia is obviously a backward country who hasnt matured like the rest of the civilised world and carries out the death penality.
The ransom the indo govt held over the 2 guys ($130k then more) is political alright.
They served 10 years then held them for ransom....
And the indo govt wants to make a point they wont tolerate drugs and they are honest religious people???? they are corrupt, on the take, bribes etc. And they control the drug trafficking in Bali?
talk about kettle black...
Im pretty sure they will now be boycotted.

Yes mate I agree in some ways. The Indo's are corrupt. Always have been and always will be. I dont trust them. But as far as the death penalty goes you better stick the USA in there as being backward as well. This wont affect Indonesia all that much. Yes a few people might not go to Bali but within 6 months they will be forgotten and Aussies will be back in Bali because it is cheap.
Plus I am in no way convinced that the majority of Aussies were against them getting the chop. In fact the majority of those I speak to were all for it. I would dearly love to run a poll of everyone in Australia on it. Reckon you would be surprised with the outcome.
This is another typical media beat up trying to paint a picture of how Australians feel when the real thing is completely different. The Government waded in as they have to try shore up flagging opinion polls not for the two blokes facing the chop. The media definitely doesn't speak for me and in this case nor does the Government

there is no way this death penalty would stop ALL drug trafficking . but it would make people think twice now to smuggle drugs to indonesia.. it wont stop but it would reduce.
same applied to this drink drive & hooning law. people still drink & drive, people still speeding.
but what if there is NO PENALTY or PUNISHMENT. there would be MORE people drink & drive, speeding AS WELL AS DIE.

I rememember as a kid I was shocked and amazed that some countries had the death penalty. It really had an impact on me and I reckon one good thing that may come out of this is that some young kids get the message to respect the law and especially so when travelling.
