    Yeah, l would have gone for the 40v mak but l already have a heap of batts and dont want to commit to a new platform.....l know Greenie has one, seems happy with it. Re the struggle in the old buffalo it could just be me not used to it yet

    I wouldn't stress too much about buying the 36v tool rather than the 40v tool.

    Once again I have to use the disclaimer of "unless my maths is wrong" but from what I can tell, your 2 x 18v 6ah batteries are putting out more watts (power) than the single 40v 4ah battery. Primarily due to the ah disparity of the batteries & the fact that your 2 x 18v batteries have more cells.

    There will be an increase in torque with the 40v tool, but it would be negligible. In fact if your batteries are new & fully charged & the 40v battery was older/down on charge, I doubt that there'd be too much difference in torque. Yours may even come out in front.

    I'm learning heaps as I research this stuff.
